Michelle brings with her diverse experience gained in previous roles as a general practice attorney, in-house counsel, and consultant with current industry leaders in litigation services and technology.
Michelle started her legal career with a general practice firm in Wilmington, NC, gaining a wide range of litigation knowledge and skills. Michelle also spent several years at a leading mass tort settlement administration and lien resolution company where she advised law firm clients on litigation process efficiencies. She has spoken at national legal conferences as a subject matter expert on topics related to healthcare compliance in personal injury litigation and litigation process efficiencies.
Before MPR, Michelle was a Director with a global legal process outsourcing group, consulting on digital and workforce-enabled strategies for lawyers. Additionally, she worked at Lexis Nexis, consulting with attorneys on comprehensive practice solutions including litigation and law department management.
Michelle holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a JD from Campbell University, and a law license for the State of North Carolina.
As an attorney with an MBA and compliance degree, Shery has broad business and legal experience to leverage each case. She has had a successful legal career in the USA and globally with both Huron Consulting Group and the global law firm, Eversheds.
Shery's first areas of legal practice were in the fields of immigration law and personal injury law. She worked extensively in the litigation field until receiving her MBA, and moving into the area of legal consulting globally, working with clients in the USA, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions. Prior to founding MPR, Shery worked as a Director for a leading legal process outsourcing company. She also worked for a Charlotte-based Mass Tort settlement administration company that specialized in mass tort and class action litigations.
Shery holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a JD from the Michigan State University College of Law, an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Governance, Risk, and Compliance diploma from the University of Manchester Business School, and a law license for the State of North Carolina.
